How to Get Involved

There are three ways to be part of Trek 500, and every one of them makes a difference.

2. Walk a Stage

Campbell is walking 537 miles, but he doesn’t have to do it alone. He is warmly inviting anyone to join him for a stage, a day, or even a single mile.

You don’t need to be an experienced hiker*. You do need:

  • Suitable walking boots and clothing for the conditions
  • Your own food, water and any personal safety equipment for the day
  • To have registered in advance so Campbell’s team can share route maps, timings and meeting points with you

Once you register, someone from the team will be in touch to confirm your place and send you full digital route maps with meeting points, rest stops and finish locations for your chosen stage(s).

Please note: *Stages on 21-23 August, 6-12 September and 20-26 September cross remote and challenging terrain and are only suitable for experienced walkers.

Participation is at your own risk. All participants are responsible for their own gear, food, safety equipment, accommodation and travel. The organisers accept no liability for any injury, loss or damage incurred during participation.

3. Create Your Own Fundraising Page

Trek 500 was launched at the Falkirk Wheel on 28 May 2026, with backing from Prostate Cancer Research and an endorsement from Sir Chris Hoy.

Why not create your own JustGiving page and tap into your own network to help push us towards the £50,000 target? Search for Trek500 for PCR to contribute directly to the challenge.

4. Become A Corporate Sponsor

The challenge has the support of Prostate Scotland, Scottish Canals, Walking Scotland, the Scottish Rally Championship and the Association of Scottish Motorsport Clubs. Several businesses have already stepped forward as stage sponsors, including Bullet Express, Euro Commercials and Culina Group. Why not add your valuable support?
